On the subject of hedges for EFA: we used hedges for the first time in 2017. For 2018 these were measured by satellite and were hugely inaccurate. I recall many people sent in RLE1 forms to have that information changed. We had enough hedges (both internal, where you have control over both sides & adjacent, only one side) not to bother with changing anything. The land parcel in the image attached has 3 full hedges in it, but because one hedge is very thick and has hedgerow trees it is not treated as hedgerow, so we lost 250 metres we could claim for. Ironically, we had an RPA inspection in 2017 where it took an officer a whole week to measure hedges; but they didn't bother using any of that information in 2018 when they measured everyone by satellite!

Well I dare not use their hedge info as they got lot more hedges down than we got.
They even decided our 10mx 10m wooden fenced loading area in a grass field is a new field with hedges round it.....

Been like Christmas here, had 4 visitors in as many days, all calling to have a natter and pay what's owed. Good to see some faces and put the world to rights, Sadly not one of them sounded particularly positive about the future of farming though...
