what do we reckon will happen to the payments next year? they currently convert it from euros taking and average exchange rate for sept, there will be no need to do this now?
You're assuming that the politicians will actually get the job done by then!

I suspect that if we are out & have any sort of trade deal with the EU then the current conversion system will stay in place to maintain a form of parity.

You might be lucky in Scotland,but there wont be a payment in England if the Tories get a decent majority.A sub for planting a few trees and that will be it.

Don't want to wee on your chips, but i met the exemption last year when the 30Ha was removed. Wasn't paid for greening and penalty applied. Luckily met the crop diversification bit anyway so it was only the efa. Raised a query on 3rd dec, still in their pile every time I ring.

I bombarded them with rle's and put lots of hedges on for 2019, even though I shouldn't have needed to.

Anyone in same position?
how much 'greener ' can you get than grass :rolleyes::scratchhead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Not sure where you have read that about the Tories - here is what Defra are working towards;

Every colour is saying they will move all payments to the environment - there is no way they can say anything else because this 'climate crisis' as taken over all rational thought.

Sorry bps "world ",thought Gov.general .
planting out a field corner , which is difficult to get into with modern machinery or maybe a bit of poor soil really needs fencing off from livestock on a mixed farm or even rabbits , individual protection renders it unviable ir.
pity that sort of thing is then nit piked and taken offthe eligible area instead of leaving it alone as being good for'the whole'pathetic wasteful detail not improving the countryside at all.
