BPS 2021 - Temporary Grassland to Permanent Grassland and back again

Hi all, totally new to the world of BPS, not long owned ground to be able to claim. I have entitlements and the ground now, all currently classified as PG01. Im looking at over seeding a mixture of oats/ vetch/ sainfoin and maybe a few other bits into a couple of small paddocks (~1HA each), will this allow me to move away from PG01 in those fields? And if so can I change their use now and put it in in the next few weeks? As discussed in this thread I’m keen “future proof” codes but it’s a bit of a mind field. Would I be allowed to do this without an EIA inspection? The ground is new to me but I believe it’s been PP for a good while. Any advice welcome!

As long as the grass has been “cultivated “ in last 15 years you don’t need to apply for EIA screening approval.... cultivated means fertiliser or muck or lime or sprays or ploughed or harrowed in last 15 years and you can do what you like to it.
NE like to try and argue that chain harrowing is not cultivation so recall those zig zags you use some years to add a bit of tilth for clover seeding.
But it really depends if there is any outside interest or designations in close locality then they may make your life hell if they think they can!
Much better to stay under the radar and jfdi rather than asking NE opinion because they can plumb the depths and astound you with their bulls**t.
