How do I add or change a field name using the online system? Thanks

Thats a good question. I was wondering that myself. All our old field parcels have names against them but all the new parcels this year has nothing against them.

You can't. And as remapping occurs those with names lose them. Is a nuisance.

It was very easy to do on the Scottish system. Can’t recall how I did it ,without having it in front of me, sorry.

More than a nuisance, we’ve over 200 different field parcels. The numbers mean little, the names identify each parcel. Without names I’m forever looking them up on a spreadsheet I prepared, or on the maps. It’s a PITA

Yep, right pain. I assist in completion of several forms. Largest one has 160 parcels plus further 60 or so woodland for FC grants. And even more this year after remapping split several with tiny bits of odds and sods. Have to be methodical. One day be nice to have the Chief Executive of RPA come to a mere form filling mortal like me in the heart of BPS season in April to just see how we fare on the ground. Doubt he gives a toss. Hey ho.

I can't believe it's not possible to add a field name. Quite agree with others that makes identifying fields difficult. More chances of mistakes being made.

The field names came over from the ado system and could be added in on the original bps system which they switched off because it used too much computing power
And hence payments delayed, reduced or otherwise "left in the pile". You would almost think they planned it like that.
