Got my statement and they've taken 5 ha off my land and fined me. Now it'll take me days to find out why and how on earth do I sort this out? Nothing has changed over the last 10 years on my land!

Just need to add: I bet all the top dogs have the whole bloody weekend off and haven't had it ruined by £1000 taken out of their pockets and no way to find out who to ask to find out why and on bloody hold now to the RPA:mad:

I noticed on 2016 application a field of 10Ha was missing, so phoned Thursday, told it obviously was missing from 2015 payment, no explanation, only wait for statement.

When statements are out a team "WILL" be set up to deal with mistakes, but to continue with new claim.

Tried to tell them couldn't finish because with less entitlements "Overdeclared" had gone red, told at all costs must continue and submit by 15th May.

@Goatherderess - I've just got my statement too, and I had 40 hectares removed for an apparent "over claim". I've also claimed the same area for 15 years.

What a shambles.

No doubt the NFU have had another busy few meetings with lardy cake and Early Grey at RPA HQ of late...

Some one needs to go in there and rattle a few cages.

Statement arrived this morning, 48 ha over claim..., nowt changed for last 8 years... How the hell will this get sorted and be able to claim for 2016?

There is a massive log jam looming with at least 20% of claims penalised,
The cock ups just keep coming.

Ok, I've just been through my application and the online field system. What a complete balls up.

They've missed out one 13 ha field, calling it ineligible for some reason. The other 27 ha of over claim is anyone's guess, as I've double checked the 2015 application and it is spot on.

I've just got the statement this morning and have also been fined for over claiming:mad: I've got (plenty) more land than entitlements now so how is this possible?

Well it has finally arrived. I thought I had been short paid and now find that I have been penalised for over claiming by 15.5 Ha.
I claimed on the same area as last year under SPS, nothing has changed, but according to RPA the 15.5Ha is ineligible.
Of course they haven't done anything useful like explaining which parcel numbers and why?
If we don't get it sorted that means 15.5 Ha of entitlements lost for ever. More hassle and aggregation that I don't need to try and get it sorted.

Well I feel better now that's it not just me. I reckon Richard Wordsworth at NFU is going to be a busy boy come Tuesday. @Guy Smith you need to follow this up I reckon Mr Grimshaw will have an interesting time if he deigns to turn up for the next Council meeting. But then NOTHING sticks to the "Teflon Kid"

HMRC, An Gof, have long operated an incentive system whereby the imposition of disallowances, repayments and fines have all contributed very handsomely to the staff bonus pool.

Fortunately for all of us here, there is absolutely no suggestion at all at present by the NFU that this culture can possibly now have spread quite as far as the RPA.

Statement here today, "lost" a 20ha field as well as over 5 Ha of over declaration penalties (no idea what for)
So, under-paid, fined and more work to sort it all out.

Now then - statement received today.
It seems they've deleted a 16 ha field from our claim even though I've had said field checked and okayed on form.
They've then deducted 16 entitlements.
We've been fined £5400 for over declaration of 31.6ha :scratchhead:
We've also been fined £2600 for non-compliance on 34ha of EFA even though we only needed 7ha:scratchhead:
Large chunk of our BPS withheld for mistakes made by RPA

I've discovered that they've put one field down as 'Other' on one of my farms, rather than Arable or Perm Grassland, thus making it ineligible for BPS, and making my declared area too large for my eligible area. Why I have no idea as its been down as arable for the last 10 years or more every year. Thats knocked £1500 off my payment, with the penalty.

So the next job is to get on the blower and find out who I have to write to to sort it out. And will it be sorted by May 15th? If not can I claim on that field, or will it screw up my 2016 claim too?

P*ss up and brewery spring to mind.
