Used some asulox last year and I'm very pleased with it, I'd say it had 99% control on a area that was 100% bracken.
I've always found it very good on bracken; when did you spray July or August?
It works well on docks as well
When Asulox was first released as a dock killer I remarked to Dad that it might do something with bracken as well as they both had large root systems. Two years later it was approved for bracken. Pity the approval for docks has been withdrawn.I've always found it very good on bracken; when did you spray July or August?

Good news! We're good to go. Haven't seen any bracken yet, but I will soon be examining last year's areas to see what the regrowth is like. Last year was the first using Warrior additive.

Pretty well all hand work for me I'm afraid. I've just bought an atv front mounted 5' wiper from Davis Tractors so am going to see where I can go with that. Try it on the field boundaries where it is trying to creep in and rush and thistle of course..Snap! We started using warrior as well.
Not sure if we're going to use any asulox this year, got some biggish areas to do but I doubt that particular landlord will be ok with a boom sprayer, will probably borrow a weed wiper and use glypo
By all means try it but don't be surprised if it don't work.I am going to try a 50M extension.

Friction losses in small diameter pipework are very high, it might not come out the end never mind at the right pressure.
Won't know til you try of course. Best of luck.
Is that still on label?Nobody using ultra low volumn? , such as an ulvamast
It was hearing about your experience that made me give it a go. Certainly works here as the pump and pressure sensor keeps up with the lance, intermittent pumping. Didn't work in the beginning and very disappointed until I found that the hose had kinked right inside the reel when I was first winding it on.I've 80 meters of garden hose attached to my quad sprayer (lance), works fine. Works much better if you can park the quad higher up than where you're spraying. I'm going to get some proper "pressure" hose for this year, as the garden hose does expand and contract which is bound to lose me some pressure on the lance. Taps on the hose are a good tip. A tap on the hose and jubilee clip at the tank will enable the operator to remove the hose, drive off to refill the tank without winding up the hose, then reattach and continue spraying.
A reel of hose is comparatively cheap and will get used in other situations if unsuccessful.By all means try it but don't be surprised if it don't work.

I've mounted the reel on a tray sticking out behind the rear carrier of the atv and just behind the sprayer tank. It has a watertight joint in the centre of the reel so it is pressurised all the time while I pay it out or wind it in.Mine wasn't on a reel, just FYI.
