Breast examinations

Dad was sent to a breast clinic by the doc after he detected a lump in that region.
Can you imagine sitting in a waiting room full of females all wondering what the verdict will be?

Was he ok?
I'm guessing that sitting in a waiting room full of women, for a man, would be embarrassing but it's nothing to be ashamed of :)

Chap who used to do my cars etc got breast cancer a few years ago.
Had a mastectomy, far as i know he's fine still.
He was a little embarrassed telling us.
No need to be of course, but it seems that telling folk you've got a serious illness is embarrassing.

I think people are very often quite ashamed about such like that, because not only is it in very private places but also maybe they see themselves as not being as tough as everyone assumes men to be, like they will be weaker in others eyes. Ik it's easy enough to say not to be ashamed of something but in the end we almost always are.

Agreed.

It’s more brave and courageous to be able to admit to it, than to be ashamed of it. The fear of what people “might” say is almost always worse than reality.

Easier said than done though i’ll admit.

Yep, very true that.
Very often we are our own worst judges and very often people are not as bad as we think they're going to be about it. We often overthink and because we judge ourselves on it we forget that mostly people don't really care about what we think or about us, because everyone's focused mostly on themselves, as we are :)
