Some of them just went what they would have in a normal store sale IMO.
I had planned to pop over to the sale but ended up watching on the live stream.

Saw one make over £5k, think it was only 3rd place in its class too

That's my thoughts.
But I was chatting to a girl local to us who does very well on the commercial show circuit, and she'd rather let someone else have the mither of calving these show cattle! To be fair her, her boyfriend and his dad all work off farm, so they need cows that don't need round the clock attention.
