You do realise we operate in a global market? Our markets are dictated primarily by global supply and demand and also financial and oil markets. Whilst a wet autumn may have an effect on local supply it is a relatively small bearish factor in a global market place
Ffs
A bearish factor reduces prices
Basic schoolboy error
The wet autumn gave wheat a bull run and has put £40/ ton on it due to the difference between exporting and importing

Thats in no way what im implying , they will always be the nurseries and summer of the uk flock, just a new way of doing things to protect and enhance the environment, we practically do it now , just need a bit more incentive needed for the arable boys to follow suit , and in my experience its the agronomist that is the stumbling block , whether thats to do with kick back of agri chems or more work (or variables ) if sheep graze in winter i dont know .But thats usually the reason used not to graze
sheep would help to repair their damaged Ryhzopheres (spelling ) apparently.

What world do you live in? Huge numbers of folk run sheep all year round on electric. I’ve spent the last five years running circa 1500-3000 breeding ewes at one block almost entirely behind electric their whole lives, and most lambs we produce or buy in and fatten never see a stock fence. Yes they do break out but usually because they are hungry, the weather is sh!t or a deer has smashed the fence / dog has pushed them through. Plenty of grants for stock fencing if arable farms want to hVe a crack at that to.
I note you are only 35
You will learn
I did lots of silly things at 35

Right ..... so apart from trying to be a condescending wa***r about it, what are you actually trying to say? Because you can’t do something, when others achieve it, they are fools ? I work f***ing hard and somewhat resent being called silly by someone who is incapable of properly electric fencing a field ......

Don’t get upset. I’m 35 and can’t properly electric fence a field either.

I wouldn't know where to start with electric fences...

Do you lot not get sick of extension cables running all over the place? Must take bloody loads to get the power out to the fields! I'd be forever tripping over it in the yard or unplugging it for 5mins then forget to plug it back in 🤦‍♂️

get more than one unit and dual power or deff 12v so theres flexibilty.
12v means there no lead out cable from the farm buildings for aa start, the power is right where you want it without any loss through resistance.
a reasonable power unit is not much more than 100 quid.

I’ve got 1 block I’m slowly fencing with mains powered wire. It’s life changing.
