But we the public are (have been) guilty of being bone idle where the EU has been concerned. MEP's are voted in on minuscule turnouts, most folk don't even know or care who they are, let alone challenge them about what they are actually doing in Brussels for the benefit UK. And yet they make big decisions that affect us all.
I would agree with you to a degree but we have too much politics and many times too many politicians. Most of our MEPs are UKIP so that should indicate the state of play. Reports back indicate that this is a hopeless body which gives us no tangible power in return for a massive net input.

MEPs don't make decisions they VOTE on decisions made by bureacrats.

It's a bit like waking into a restaurant and expecting to chose any meal in the world .. you can't it's either German, German or German.

MEPs dont even debate on the decision process.

Meh the parliament is just a side show, all the real stuff is done and dusted behind doors, like Selmayr's promotion.

one of the Scottish tories mentioned in the chamber , that that word was written on a jewish persons house in his constituency from the far left going after jews about Israel
Some strange people up there. The post indy ref showed them in their true colours. I know people who were threatened because they voted for the union.
