I had not seen this but it bears out exactly what I said. They have not been doing recalls or admitted a problem and free fix in the UK as far as I am aware. Where did you read that this applies in the UK?

Excuse me for asking folks...of the 15% of goods exported to the eu by the uk..where will the eu get these items post brexit? If there was finacially better options wouldnt they be getting it from there now?

Why would trade have to "cease" once brexit is through? Is that likely? Of the 15% how much % is expected not to be exported? Are there other market options?

With all due respect i havent seen anyone answer this with any sort of analytical knowledge and market knowledge.

If the EU applies tariffs to uk...?..isnt merkel meant to be the beacon of free trade and open borders? Its all right when the balls in her court.

Ant...

Tut, tut, tut, tut, tut, tut, tut, tut, tut and a million more tuts.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Mercedes had / have a warranty recall in UK for this problem .................. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/ap...s-30-000-cars-fix-rear-tail-lamp-problem.html

But, hey ............................ just like the fake news on the bus, just put any old anti EU drivel out there and most it will stick.
They should have printed it on a bus. If you want to go trawling the records make sure you read them before acting. This is an associated press bulletin from Detroit and nothing to do with the UK .

Providing Europe plays ball with trump and drops a whole load of tariffs on American stuff

EU should make tariffs on American cars zero!!!
Won’t make a bit of difference either way, as Europeans won’t buy them!!
Trump will get a little victory for his ego and there will be no real market impact on European manufacturers.

Nothing to do with the EU. The UK is looking for a bilateral trade agreement with the US, one factor will be zero tariffs on US built cars imported in to the UK. The main exporters from the US to the UK are currently BMW, Mercedes etc, post Brexit that trade will just get bigger if the UK decides to put tariffs on EU manufactured cars. Cars manufactured in the UK are mostly built for the European market, if the EU puts tariffs on these they will simply be manufactured within Europe in the future.
