Did I mention Labour and the SM / CU?@RobFZS

UK Labour Seeks Soft Brexit in Bid to Force Defeat on May https://www.bloomberg.com/politics/...xit-deal-to-keep-full-eu-single-market-access
It's a ploy to fool remain voters/journalists in to thinking there's a soft brexit on the cards via Mr Corbyn, yet a real soft brexit would be Norway style, yet he rules that out and also wants to 'be free to make our own trade deals'

How to get the hard Brexit you want, while pretending not to: 1. Abstain on a vote for the UK to stay in the EEA, so ensuring that it is not passed. 2. Table your own motion about creating a hybrid, undefined single market that you know no Tory will back & so will fall. Bingo!!

Aha.

Land Rover who have never invested in Ireland, suddenly over the past 9 months have taken a very keen interest. Initially a small announcement with 50 jobs, in design engineering. Followed a few weeks ago by another 350 job announcement, in the area of R&D for autonomous cars, and EV technology. I noted in my travels last week, that work has commenced on fitting out the buildings and offices.
Very strong rumours these past few days, that LR have just closed a deal to acquire a very large industrial site not far from their new base in Limerick.
Of course, it’s not a matter of LR discovering their soft spot for the Emerald Isle, but rather their continued pragmatism in business. Dealing with the very real and substantive threat which Brexit poses to their UK operations is foremost in their strategic planning these days. A threat which gets more clear to see as the bickering donkeys in the Tory party, continue to spin their wheels instead of making some progress in any direction.

Dont think they give a toss, our discovery cut out mid ride on the M6 going over the thelwall viaduct and they wernt in the least interested, electric hand brake that needs cleaning every 500 miles, having to take the battery cover off to get it to start, this wasn't any old banger either, 5 yr old 30k miles one, if thats the best they can come up with then the Irish can keep it

Ireland didnt offer a tax program to get them did they????

Oh and the globalist say the EU is the beacon of free trade and globalisation but an island 22 miles from it will need to shift countries to access the markets competitively???

Ohhh do behave lads....

Sorry to burst your bubble Ashy, but it may have more to do with the fact that there is a shortage of qualified engineers over here. I take it you have heard what the top banana at audi has said to the eu about about a tariff free trade deal? Maybe he wants to sell more of his cars into the uk once the trade war starts between the eu and usa

Shortage of engineers, eh?? And Grimms Book of Brexit Fairytails, espouses that Britain will grow its economy exponentially on the back of all those new trade deals with the world outside the backward, protectionist, failing, criminal EU!!!
Where you gonna get the engineers from ...... ???
I’m reminded of the Boris claim the Brexit is about “having cake and eating it”:unsure::unsure::unsure:

Maybe the uk government will realise they will have to invest in and train homegrown talent rather than import the skilled people this country will need. After all, we were told all the skilled migrants are going to go home. But, but, but im still waiting for house prices to plummet, ww3 to start, and the sky to fall in, coz I was told by remain that was what was going to happen if I voted leave

Decades of rewarding failure in schools, university? education for everyone and bum degrees that mean nothing. Support and pay for the skills that are required rather than finance a load of loafers should be the aim of the state. Most academic and practical courses that I have experienced are run for the benefit of second rate lecturers and are poorly structured and managed. The kids deserve better than this but are encouraged to look for the easy ride far too often.

Why would the sky fall in? Who said it would?
Brexit is only a bit of politics on a tiny island, I just don’t get how it’s going to effect the whole world geography :scratchhead:
