Brexit postponed

Pretty much a slam dunk at this stage with regards to Corbyn's chances of B&B at number 10 next cycle.
Imagine the pain Sterling will endure. Good time to spread some risk between Swiss Frank and Euro.
Hmm... is it a personal gripe against the UK or do you think you do it on behalf of your nation? As I have written before, teddy is out of the pram because you can’t have your own way and the tantrum just doesn't end...

As for JC in No 10, not a hope, are you prepared to put your money where your mouth is?

The German CBI has already expressed support for the EU27 (whose unanimous decision is, in fact, required) and placed solidarity ahead of loss of trade.

They did the same thing with the Russia sanctions.
solidarity is a big word in socialist europe, you dont need to like it, but do need to understand it.
This is something britain struggles to understand
In europe politics control business not the inverse,
trade will form around political solutions not the inverse

I'm suggesting it is impossible now - recent events tend to confirm this.

Next point: no other EU country wants to leave the Union, which suggests that the points you advance, if they are not generally applicable, are unlikely to be valid here, either.

Instead, the evidence is that Brexit is a Tory project: at its heart is a reluctance to embrace the principles of social democracy and protectionism.

The proof of this is the extreme reluctance on the part of the Conservatives to offer any vision of what we should embrace instead.

Because we shouldn't like it.

Why else do you think the Tories are losing seats? If they keep up this charade, they will also lose the next Election. And, just as in 1945, deservedly so.
Your other posts I have replied to have all been good but I fear this one is not.
It may be impossible to find a deal, but leaving is still highly probable.
No other country is actively trying to leave the union but to suggest this indicates satisfaction is to be wholly disingenuous like the commission.
There is no democratic function for the population of Europe to voice their satisfaction or otherwise, or offer an opinion on it's future.
Although in reality, the referendum was only likely to be brought to fruition under a conservative government, it has been an issue that has cut through those of almost every political persuasion.
The liberal democrats suggested a referendum a few years ago and the labour party are very split on their thoughts for the future. I had feared a labour Brexit but J.C saying today that he would consider a 'no deal' might be acceptable was a very pleasant surprise.
Your final point. It is hard to offer visions of the future when nothing is agreed until everything is agreed. The British press will hang anyone who offers something that can't be delivered.
The reasons given for election results are spurious at best. You only have to listen to the rubbish coming from the lips of people leaving the voting stations to realise this. I would like to consider myself reasonably well informed. I would consider myself a liberal, I would seriously consider voting for Corbyn but would probably vote conservative to support Brexit as things stand.
5/5/22 is a light year away in political terms and will probably be decided by an issue we haven't even thought of yet.

Actually, having given this some thought, is a very good point.....

Not as pretty as German combines or tractors then? Maybe a US tractor, can't make the model out?
What's that got to do with us leaving the eu or are you saying they won't sell us any of their German tractors to punish us for leaving, realms of fantasy now

Yes! As we see in Germany tonight, populism is alive on the continent, if not yet mainstream. Juncker has said the EU is at a turning point and has outlined 5 scenarios for EU’s future, from being ‘nothing but a single market’ to ‘doing much more together’.

And for the first time Brussels is asking member states to decide the direction of travel instead of forcing its own agenda. Progress indeed! Pity UK won't be part of that.

Some of those 5 scenarios might not be unappealing to Brexiteers.

One thing is for certain, it's not 1 vs 27. A lot could happen before 2022.

I don't think bobk is having a pop at those of us who go on holiday. There isn't a proper balance between capital and Labour in the U.K. economy tho.

I think some folk back home think I am on a permanent holiday because I live in France. The reality is I've managed to spend 3 nights away from the farm in 11 years.

0.1% of your life not working? Blimey no wonder British productivity lags behind the French. We're clever tho, for example we employed a Kenyan to win your national race thereby demonstrate our natural superiority.
