Brexit Stockpiling

"No developed country has left a trade bloc before, let alone in disorderly fashion, and let alone one which has become a lot more than a trade bloc. But I do fully understand the legal realities. And because so-called ‘WTO rules’ deliver precisely no continuity in multiple key sectors of the economy, we could expect disruption on a scale and of a length that no-one has experienced in the developed world in the last couple of generations."

I suggest that people read this very long article by Ivan Rogers, Britain's former ambassador to the EU as to the reality of the UK's 'we can have our cake and eat it' mentality.

Gowan bourght Avadex from Monsanto and have done well out of it reregistering it
but there isnt really anything like avadex is there, ctl is made by lots of people, perhaps one company could slighly reformulate it and register that so no one else could sell it? In the wet west its the backbone of septoria control

Syngenta aren't going to fight hard for it because we buy generics that don't contribute to reregistration. With a smaller market share they have less to gain.

Farmers Weekly was recommending getting your supplies in, with a piece from Jon Duffy, CEO at Anglia Farmers. IMO it's the fear of the unknown in case we have a hard Brexit.

Does this remind anyone of the Millennium Bug, that windfall for IT consultants? :D https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_2000_problem
nothing new in scare mongering, the chemical industry do it all the time, and it works beautifully
