Brisket boards

What are others using as a brisket board? We’ve got some of the Wilson ones and I like them but they’re dam expensive for what they are.
Has anyone used twin wall pipe?

i want something with a nice rounded top like the polypillow where possible.

We put some Kraiburg Wela down and 3 months later some kraiburg maxiboard brisket boards and went from 100% usage down to 20% overnight. probably now back up to 65% but to me its shortened the cubicle down to much. The mattress was 165 cm long, 18 feet head to head, open front, high head rail 4'3" wide

This is what I replaced a 7 by 3 timber board with. Much kinder on the cows.

Which is better orange or cream baler cord.?

Can't say our neck rails cause much bother. Adjusted them after first put in so that most cows can stand 4 feet in cubicle before lying down.
Can remember our old Newton rigs with 9 inch heel stones and plenty cows would be standing back feet in scrape passage And treating cow after cow with sole ulcers glad those days are gone.

Use 7x3 timbers here with angled bracket of cubicle loop , it is the only brisket that will keep my jerseys in the right place , had all mannor of different briskets twin wall pipe found it broke up very easy of cows would simply lie out over the top of it . Had other pipe which didn’t break but same story’s cows would out over it , having said all that if jerseys can find a way to be awkward they will be 😂

I hate neck rails.
Cows have a habit of shuffling forward whist lying then getting stuck underneath them when trying to rise. Then they end up jammed at front of cubicle.
(Not all cows obviously )
Surly if you don’t have a neck rail cow with simply step over brisket and dung all over the bed ?

Just put up a strand of electric fence at the front of the beds, they won't shuffle forward then so much (y)
