I have never said i want immigration stopped just for us to be in control,if they have got a job waiting and appropriate health insurance they are welcome, what’s wrong with that

Nothing - makes sense. Do you or can anyone explain the current arrangements for UK citizens to go anywhere in EU to live - even if no job to go to or lack of money. I ask as I have a couple of youngsters that had hoped to do some work in EU countries - low skill stuff but I am wondering now with end to free movement what will happen. Hey ho.

There is free movement within the EU at the mo. Works well doesn't it? After next March, for the UK, at the moment, it's anyone's guess.

Yes, a downside to leaving - was always chance for two way traffic, though I appreciate the sentiment has been all these Europeans coming this way. But it puts a bit of a damper on my kids just answering an add from somewhere in EU and after an email or two and catching a train to somewhere in Europe to do a bit of casual work. Bar and sports training stuff is what they are looking at. Hey ho. Shame but for the better I suppose.

My friends who work in the health service tend to comment that the East Europeans are not to much the real stress on the NHS it is the indigenous folk with long term health problems often self inflicted. Hey ho

He will be compulsorily demanded to return to Blighty as we shall need him back here to join the national service fruit and veg harvesting gangs that Dominic Raab is preparing to organise. Thought I would throw that in as light relief in the thread. Goodness me a dark autumn evening so little else to do while I wait for the casserole to finish.

I am still out in my hammock but you are quite correct. It is now quite dark!
