Exactly. If mills and processors are using huge quantities of imported grains for which RT does not exist, then domestic grain should be accepted on the same terms.
so why are our so called representatives NFU/AHDB working against the UK farmer along with RT for the benefit of import, its pathetic.
the whole lot need giving the sack and a bag to put it in

The AHDB doesn't need to exist, NIAB TAG I would argue have more technical nous now anyway and have a fully commercial subscription model for which producers may pay a fee if they want access to the excellent technical information they generate.

The NFU is just an excuse for a lot of salaries, some posh offices and a way of selling insurance.

NFU could kill the BFU before it even gets off the starting blocks but it won't, hopefully that will come back to bite them in the arse

Yup. It could consider amending its constitution so none of its board past or present could sit on any other organization. It could refuse sponsorship from any end user. It could scrap relations with the AIC. And it could work with other organizations who, at the end of the day, should be working to put the farmer first like AHDB and start batting for us.

Sorry, that's the last NFU bash from me. I don't need to slag them off. We all know what the situation is. There was whining about "well why not do something else instead" and we've done that. The NFU is entirely irrelevant to me as a forward thinking, dynamic modern farmer who's business depends entirely on actually farming.
