Ha well I'm pretty much all Holstein now so Quentins on the extreme and josuper on the low yielding animals. The experiment is crossing back to Friesian. Josupers got some figures with him

Had our 1st calf by Chad today , out of Gemini Umpire Sky Pauline , who is maternal sister to Gemini Norseman who is in the Genus catalogue. Just a shame it was a bull calf.
Bit of breeding there tho, entire or bullock destined?
With a fashionable pedigree like should make somebody a stock bull one day. Why so late getting into Chad farmertom?

I bought the cow as a calved heifer at the Gemini dispersal sale last year , she was quite small when I bought her and I don't know if she had calved early but she never really peaked very high . She has grown quite well now though and looks really well , so I will probably keep him entire for a while and see how she milks this time .
Farmertom - looks like you had a good buy there .... I was the underbidder on her! As genomics are now available for Friesians why not send a few hairs off from the bull calf to see if he is worth keeping?
