I will be in the market for a bull next spring

Im looking for a british fresian type bull, with lots of milk and protein

What would you all recommend ?

I have british fresian type cows, yielding 6500ish Liters, based in SW Ireland, dont like big hotstein cows, too heavy for land, we get a lot of rain...

I'll have a choice of 3 for you, I'm in limerick. All are 50% British friesian. Dams Yields to 10000litres, protein to 3.8.

Is the sexcel available for friesians now then? Last time I asked they said beginning of the year.
Yes sexcel Friesian is available I’ve had Goonhilly Samson sexcel about 4-5 weeks ago first ones haven’t come over so fingers crossed. Think it was £30 per straw sexcel and I’ve had some normal sexed for heifers at about £20 (without looking) per straw

What Bulls did you go for? We have had some off Cogent again for this winter. Would like to try some sexcel when more Bulls become available just to compare the two.

All cows are going to Dungormley Jacob again and hefiers are going to sexed Kirkby Malvern. Ive not used sex semen for many years but feel that my herd fertility is now good enough to achieve decent results with it. We ended up with 96% in calf this year although over 15 weeks.
