Just naughty! Lovely looking cows/heifers and milking well, some wont lie in cubicles and are quite happy in the middle of a yard, some are cheeky buggers and will walk through you for fun, run at an open gate etc and others are annoying idiots in the parlour (nothing malicious more fidgety when they get bored) one heifer in particular is really trying my patience 🙄😬
you ought to try jerseys, they really are cheeky, but cows that are nice and quiet, are a damn site better, than cows trying to climb walls, if someone new walks in the yard ! We have just sold 2 big bunches, both buyers, very impressed they could walk round the cows, and they didn't move out the way ! The jerseys usually walk up, and introduce themselves, major selling point. That's us swopped over now, just a few barren to go, and that's a good job too !

My only Boaz X jersey. I took a dozen photos and this is the least worst. She's a really nice looking cow but with slightly wide front teats. I don't this many people would be a ble to pick her as a heifer.

Trying to finish my breeding plan for this season, anyone got any suggestions of where to check inbreeding %'s? Code 20s all sorted, just got a few that are an 01. Webmate won't let me use a BF on a Holstein. AHDBs figure are all to cock, getting inbreeding % of less than 0.1 for Jingle onto Pinnacle cows 🤷‍♂️ (have emailed them, there going to try and work out what's going wrong)

Anyone off to this sale, look a very nice herd of cows, little bit of holstein in them but don’t look any worse for it. Too far for us unfortunately 😢

Just had 2ppl bonus starting in June but cake jumped from 240 odd to 287 this month dropped back on to a cheaper one on last load Some of cows bags look a bit fuller to me🤷‍♂️. Decent Friesian cows are between 1800 to over 2000 round us, and there aren’t many to buy.

£47/t 1t/cow =0.78ppl increase feed cost.

Price increase 👍
Bonus 👎
Bonus =a sum of money added to a person's wages as a reward for good performance.

It's a price increase 👍👍👍

I know it’s a price increase but still takes a chunk out, dropped to 267 per tonne now on a different cake milk doesn’t seem any different at them
