You reckon people are culling them early due to temperament? Do you think the same as me about them or am I being picky?Perhaps that’s why his lifespan figures and therefore pli has gone into free fall

I find the same with premiers most seem to be capable of a nasty kick mainly when you're least expecting it! Nice cows and are milking well thoughMy Chad's are all good, my premiers are proving to be a bit more troublesome though!
you ought to try jerseys, they really are cheeky, but cows that are nice and quiet, are a damn site better, than cows trying to climb walls, if someone new walks in the yard ! We have just sold 2 big bunches, both buyers, very impressed they could walk round the cows, and they didn't move out the way ! The jerseys usually walk up, and introduce themselves, major selling point. That's us swopped over now, just a few barren to go, and that's a good job too !Just naughty! Lovely looking cows/heifers and milking well, some wont lie in cubicles and are quite happy in the middle of a yard, some are cheeky buggers and will walk through you for fun, run at an open gate etc and others are annoying idiots in the parlour (nothing malicious more fidgety when they get bored) one heifer in particular is really trying my patience
nothing wrong with being picky, you have to milk them !You reckon people are culling them early due to temperament? Do you think the same as me about them or am I being picky?
Cant as afford to be picky this year, plus they're all too good to get rid of, I dont think my reliefs are milking out the idiot heifer properly which means she has more milk for me and therefore takes longer! Other than her I can cope with the restnothing wrong with being picky, you have to milk them !
Hopefully going, just got to hope prices srent stupid!Anyone off to this sale, look a very nice herd of cows, little bit of holstein in them but don’t look any worse for it. Too far for us unfortunately
A rise in milk prices recently won’t help even though feed keeps going up.Hopefully going, just got to hope prices srent stupid!
People forget that a 1 ppl milk rise means nothing if inputs are 4ppl more than normalA rise in milk prices recently won’t help even though feed keeps going up.
Hopefully going, just got to hope prices srent stupid!
None that fit my requirements, plus with it being a dispersal they should be selling their best whereas weekly markets are only ever going to be what they're willing to loseIsn’t there any closer to home for sale?
£47/t 1t/cow =0.78ppl increase feed cost.Just had 2ppl bonus starting in June but cake jumped from 240 odd to 287 this month dropped back on to a cheaper one on last load Some of cows bags look a bit fuller to me. Decent Friesian cows are between 1800 to over 2000 round us, and there aren’t many to buy.
I know it’s a price increase but still takes a chunk out, dropped to 267 per tonne now on a different cake milk doesn’t seem any different at them£47/t 1t/cow =0.78ppl increase feed cost.
Price increase
Bonus

It's a price increase
Try a price of around £400/tI know it’s a price increase but still takes a chunk out, dropped to 267 per tonne now on a different cake milk doesn’t seem any different at them
Be on towards 10ppl more on organic though so balances out, and you’ll use a lot less because of the priceTry a price of around £400/t
Try 5/6ppl!Be on towards 10ppl more on organic though so balances out, and you’ll use a lot less because of the price
That cant be a big enough premium to make it worthwhileTry 5/6ppl!
