Broadcasting Cover crops

We have been broadcasting covers today into standing wheat. A local contractor came in with a pneumatic spreader. He spread 65kg/ha of Pedders Mix 2. We decided to get some spread as I do not think I will have time to drill all my covers during harvest and in time. It is higher risk and we now need some rain. Will roll after harvest if not germinated. Used higher seed rate than normal due to broadcasting. Now fingers are crossed.

I am contiplating doing some of this, but using my KRM disc fertiliser spreader. I have already broadcast the land that was too wet to drill with wheat, with mustard which has taken well. I will wait until I have sprayed off my standing wheat with glysophate before broadcasting the cover crop into it!
