Hi can anybody tell me if BT EQUIPMENT FARM AND PLANT are legit?
Thanks in advance.
Google says no.
more info or a link would help.
usually if you need to ask the question then you know the answer.
Thanks for the reply. My husband and I were considering buying a digger from this company. The address is Stockport. We cant get through by phone, only email. The salesman said hes in Italy at the moment looking at machinery but hes in lockdown for another week, before he returns back to UK. We are in Ireland.
If we were to purchase the digger it would be shipped and payment made online. I am reluctant to do anything until I know more. Its BT equipment UK tractor and plant in Stockport.

I had a few calls from people a few months ago asking after diggers and old tractors I had for sale- turned out they were looking for an MJN Plant and Machinery, which didn't exist. They came to me because our company name was the first Google result. There are firms called BT Farms and BT Plant- I wonder if scammers take a similar name to existing fairly small companies to try and look more realistic. Definitely a scam.

My advice would be not to do it ! You can’t see the machine don’t buy it, Hang on I’ll go and check the computer ,computer says NO . I just cannot understand how people Buy things online without seeing it ,it’s like someone knocking the door and giving them a suitcase full of money take it ! can you get me a digger not to be seen again. having a go at you but we are talking big-money it’s very easy to give it away .BE careful. If he is in Italy looking at machinery and he is in lockdown how can this be .?

I totally agree with you. We are eager to find one for a build starting in 2 weeks. We were searching Ireland but they're very scarce and it's very appealing when you find one a bit cheaper and in much better condition in uk. Weve never done this before and my gut is screaming at me to find out more info before we part with cash.
The strangest thing is that hes not willing to do any dealings until he gets back to uk and hes not looking for money at the moment. Thought if he was a scammer that hed be trying to get the money straight away and run.

Thanks so much. I think they do use company names to make them appear legit

Haha you're grand. I know that. What you said is 100%true and I needed to hear that. Be worse if I parted cash and got scammed. Thank you
