What is height a BT should be cable be across a field, I knocked one down with the our digger earlier in the year. Openreach have now sent the bill which I had been expecting, but had forgotten about, I was 9 months ago!
It was too low anyway, however you can knock most things down with a 13t machine... I was going to check the height at which they reinstalled at.

I pulled one down earlier in the year driving down the road with a 3.1m mower folded up attached to the tractor.

Luckily BT realised it was far too low and now have put taller poles in. I think it should be 5.5m high, so no cost for me.

Between 5.2, 5.5, 5.9 and 6.5 metres above the road depending on the circumstances, does not mention fields though.

One of my men pulled a wire and three poles down backing a trailer into a field, mind you he did have the body tipped up, they did try and claim for it, we just denied all knowledge of how it had happened.

While back a lorry backing into yard just clipped the BT pole and snapped the cable. Openreach came out and repaired it and chatting to engineer told me they have to be above a certain height after one of their engineers was up a pole next to a road. Lorry came along and snagged the cable which then knocked the lass off the pole and killed her. Cable had been too low. Can’t remember the height now as it was a year or two ago.
