Doing a refurb job on the old Suton. It's had Roller Stator motor fitted a few years ago that is leaking. Anyone know the best place for a seal kit. Original pump supplier moved onto another brand

Most bearing seal suppliers will locate seals but check there is no collapsed bearings inside first as I could not locate one of the needle roller bearings ? Ended up using a plastic bush turned on lathe worked well too

Snap, except mine has done about 2 hours work and in went some string.

Looks like a dead ringer for mine puntabrava. Did you get the seals easy enough?
Yes baler band the culprit with ours. The small amount we've actually used it is minimal compared to the maintenance costs.

I deal With HES at Gloucester and they said OEM only when i asked for a motor, the outer seal has gone on mine but I’m unsure that changing the outer seal will cure the leak. I also spoke with the service manager at Halse’s that supplied it and he said they are tricky things to strip and reseal.🙁

Have just spoken to Gurney reeve, motor made for them by Whites and not possible to source seals other than through them.
Edit, I’m going to take the motor back to Halse’s and tell them to fix it, if they choose to sell the stuff then they can deal with the Shyte. Unfit for purpose is what I say with the environment the product is sold into and no shrouding at all to give the seals half a chance.

Local hydraulic supermarket can get me the seals for the middle of next week. Won't open it up until then. Sounds like it might be a nightmare if you've all had your problems with them. Any other brands better/worse?

I would open it up before you get the seal kit as you may not need it. In my opinion Danfoss is the best manufacturer of the motors, and we sell a fair few. They now own White Motor Drive and Eaton Hydraulics very soon. The cheap ones are made to a price so don't expect to be able to repair them.

So I did I. Any way if you have all the needle bearing you can reassemble it but it will need a through degrease and patience to get all the needle bearing back in. Use plenty of grease to stick them to the outetvbearing housing and with a bit of luck you can rebuild it. If the old out dirt seal is in good condition leave it in place.
