My ones up for sale soon. 57plate 3lt with 68k miles.
But as you say, rust :(
Chassis not too bad but bodywork
It's got a chassis, you don't need bodywork! Our Ranger is 06, wish I'd rustproofed it 10 years ago because it's been a very good truck. Just welded some patches over the holes near the body mounts (would be an MOT fail), mastic for the others keep the water out, all repairs reinforced with a thick layer of waxoil. Straight through the MOT no advisories

Yeah this has been good too. Chassis pretty good, mot tester says it'll be fine for a few years yet.
It'll be priced to sell anyway! A LOT less than 7k.......
It pulls really well and generally not bad on juice considering what it is.

I suggested an older 4cyl Landcruiser but he is adamant that he wants a separate load area to keep the sh1t out of the passenger area. He has been looking at the L200 as they seem to offer a little more and newer for the £.
Are the Auto versions OK?
Thanks for the replys.

ive been ok with the ones ive had,

if you buy a sh!t one it will cost as with any 4x4, there all expensive to maintain relative to a car.

good thing with dicverys/landrovers is parts are cheap as there is so many of them,

i had a mitsi shogun and smashed the wing mirror, it was ok just needed cover, The guy at garage told me i was lucky as the wing mirror was over £500, they aint cheap on parts.

but the discos are miles ahead in terms of towing and comfort, there expensive new for a reason there a much better vehicle and there is more to em, it just depends what you want.

at coastguard we have a L200 on a 12 plate with 18k on the clock. It gets left for weeks on end then started and driven hard to incident. It has General grabber tyres and in low with diffs locked will literally go anywhere!. Lots of room in the rear seats too.
