I'm interested what was the outcome for the non Farmers Wife who was seeking a Man Cave !!!!
I thought curtilage was the garden attached to the farmhouse? Who would decide what comes under the curtilage of the farmhouse?
Seems like you are asking an easy question however the answer is far from easy!As an aside, how easy is it to adjust the curtilage?
For example, if the garden backs onto an odd shaped field corner and you wanted to adopt some of the field to increase the size of the garden and make the field a more helpful shape?
Obviously more complicated if there are subs incoming from the acreage of the farmed area.

Correct, then you would be free to use it as an extension to your garden but you would not be permitted to errect structures, fences etc on it without permission. So I could apply for CoU to call part of the field amenity/leisure use, it would meet the existing garden but without altering the official curtilage boundary?
