I've never done it but think they supply everything you just supply the sheds and labour. Think labour was £40 a calf last time I heard, if you hit their targets.

My thoughts exactly, the only benefits in theses schemes are to enable a young farmer to get a foot on the ladder and build some capital, otherwise you may as well do the job yourself, they do not add any value to the chain.
I suppose it takes the job out of the supply (maybe calves arriving from a more reliable source) and any worry about the selling at the end.
