Bulk bins

After years of buying cake through bags Iv finally decided to buy a bulk bin.
I admit I’m quite new to bins so would like a bit of info before I buy. I’m currently looking at a hanco 9.5t bin. I wanted to be able to fill my quad snacker under it plus fill bags through a shoot to find out this is not a option for both. I can’t see how filling bags 4ft of the ground can be a option

Or a Tipstor 3.9t or 7t that you can load with a bucket . Comes flat packed. Make your own stand

I put a 9t Bildabin up when we moved here, after speaking with Hanco and not appreciating the pushy sales technique.

It was considerably cheaper and service/delivery was faultless. I specc’ed it high enough to back a snacker under it, and it came with a bagging tube to slot on when needed. An upturned 80kg Chrystalix tub is the ideal height to sit the bag on.👍

The bigger bins we had at home for the dairy cake, all had bagging chutes fitted onto the side of the cone at a suitable height, which were relatively cheap to buy from Roxell for aftermarket fitting. Where there’s a will.:)

depends on where your putting it, if it is a wet windy place with a bit of rain, I would get a "V~Max" enclosed to the bottom, get a split bin 2 x 5.5 tonne bins all in one , c/w two snacker shoots, keeps your empty bags dry and inside and will hold a tonne of bagged feed in bottom, it won't empty the last half tonne out to snacker, but easy filled with a tubby bucket last Little bit, and keeps you focused about running out, , also in the dry when bagging, 5 tonne is not a bad drop price wise, and not much savings till you get above 10 tonne. This will give more flexibility in that you can still have a 10 tonne bin yet will hold two 5 tonnes of different products if needed

Speak to Arthur at Roblew bins. Just bought a 10ton split bin( 5 ton either side), they do lots of different options and know for a fact they do a snacker shoot and bagging shoot off the same bin.

Whatever you do buy one slightly bigger than you think you’ll need/order food in at a time! It’s a PITA when you order food before the bin is empty then it doesn’t hold it all and you end up having to blow it into a tote bag anyway!

Or runs out at the start of a bank holiday. I always order 50% bigger than the drop as going up doesn’t seem to cost much
