We haven’t any used conventional tanks that size but to be honest too many convential tanks are collapsing that size personally I would be going for new silos with good finance packages drop me a line on 1251johm@gmail. For more info what did dnd offer

Can you supply the size of tank you were quoted and wether you were having ice builder. Plate cooler, etc and I will give you a price new because it’s unlikely you will find second hand

Just a tank with 2 compressors to run 2 tanks and a ice builder.
Had a quote off southwest
19k with 2 9 kw compressors for +40k
22k with 2 10kw compressors for =45k
26K with 2 12kw compressors just shy of 50k
They just normal horizontal tanks.

But they haven't been out and this was a blind quote so could be more or less.
With 6 months parts warranty which seams really crap if i'm honest

I know nothing about tank sizing but those compressors seem huge.
Due to single phase I have 2 3kw compressors on a 16k tank.
Can put 8000 litres in 5 hours milking time and ice builder does majority of cooling tanks barely switch on.
Mind you if you forget to switch plate cooler and ice builder on your screwed.
Ice builder still only runs at night.

Effective pre cooling will allow smaller compressors. We had been struggling with precooling, but have just upgraded the water system so the plate cooler pump recirculates from a 20k water tank that feeds the troughs and wash down. What a difference! Previously milk at the end of milking could be 10*C, now tank is at 4*C and turned off!

Tank and one condensing unit. I've got to be honest i don't know what size they are fitting this next week i'll have a look. But D&D did come out last friday to look and have put a bottom fill on it as well. Because i'm getting too lazy and old to be climbing up steps! South west quote was done over the phone. That might reflect the over size of the compressors or not if i'm honest.

The problem is our ice builder compressors are knackered and obsolete. To my shock i can't get any more plates for my delaval plate cooler either. Even though i was quoted £60 a plate. I suppose the tank is nearly 20 years old now and maybe people don't want to make parts for them any more. Just the quotes are quite strong and i do get that it's most probably my last tank and should last me my life time.
