Will a bull float do to finish a concrete yard after a vibrating screed.

What's the best type bull float to buy?

None of the pro concreting squads I know of tamp concrete. Tamping brings the water and stones to the top weakening the top of the concrete and leaving it harder to float. On a lot of commercial quality controlled jobs pokering/vibrating is alowed tamping is not.

I bought a metal bull float and fastened some ply to it - it leaves a wood float finish that I am very happy with, a metal float is too smooth for most farming applications I think. A workshop or grain barn needs a power float for a really good surface though.

I purchased this from them last year with other concreting tools and it was a super job. We normally tamp with a stick but I will purchase a ScreeDemon for our next job.
