Had feet trimmed last year he said looked like he had in at some point in life only 30 month's, not over fat lean been on silage and wanting to pick him up before use and feeding cake and been going lame after a week or so front an back leg same side,

Yep Norocillin or Tylan have worked for us in times gone by.. often lack of good fibre is the root of it- pasture too lush is usually the reason down here for bulls to get laminitis... or they start getting onto the milking platform and guts on grain, that soon blows the feet.
If possible shut down his intake and sub in some extra fibre - hay or straw in a ring?
We had straw in a ring at all times for the dairy herds to pick at, purely for laminitis reasons.

Norocillin for how long, funny mention fibre as he has been on woodchip bedding, with pea and barley and silage mix for feed, wotj some cake as a extra pick up, has had doom hay but as mention could be lacking the fibre
