for a start we don't work in bushels per acre, we work in tonnes per acre. What is 225 bushels in tonnes?

So 225 bushels an acre is 6.136 tonnes an acre! That is impressive!

'Twas 8% I think when passed through the dryer.

We have 100 acres left at the site where the 250 bushel per acre is being run.

170 is average. 200 was excellent. This is on par with them boys out west. Truly unbelievable. We've done the numbers on it five times.

We still have 260 acres of dry corn left to go. The wind (60mph gusts last week) knocked a good bit down.

we had 30mph winds last week, gusting to 60. That knocked down a fair bit of corn. We have to wait till the snow melts off before we can go back out and combine, it'll plug up the machine. Still have 260 acres of dry corn left and 50 acres going to high moisture rolled corn too. Also 15 acres of beans

Have you priced it yet? CBOT prices are fob Gulf aren't they? What does it cost to get it there or will yours go for ethanol?

Corn is $3.75 a bushel I think. But we have a good amount of storage, about 72,000 reserved corn space at our farm.

Woops I went off wheat bushels at first.

225 bushels / 39.36 bushels per ton = 5.71 tonnes per acre

Still impressive!!!!!!

No not nearly half. Maybe 12,000 bushel at most. We will fill the bins and then haul the remaining to the elevator about 20 minutes away. Or to the one an hour away, depends on price at the time.
