Not in north eastern Ohio. We get so much rain we try to give it away.

How many inches of rain per year? How is that spread out throughout the year? Had 40 inches here last year.

That's a good yield for sure...i use to live in Columbus..nice to cruise out to buckeye lake looking at the corn and soyabean fields...

We get 38 inches of rain and 42 inches of snow a year on average. I find it hard to believe we get that little. It seems we get a lot more.

I'm about 45 minutes from Canton (Ravenna township is where I'm located).

The combine is handling it real well. She's old and broken in just right, but I have a feeling we will be trading it in on a 70 series after this harvest season. Time to upgrade.

I have the slightest clue about why we are having a good yield. We are on sandy ground right now. I'm gonna guess and say it was perfect timing in planting and genetics. Even a good wet humid summer.

There's a lot of nice flat farm ground around Columbus. Ever been to Washington Courthouse?

Hmm..maybe review average monthly temps and humidity?? i have been to Canton once for xmas and yes i have been to WC...i use to work at JD equipemt in London (the new branch just north of the interstate)...Loved it...

Whats land cost an acre?

Some nice farmland by WC. I seen a few new looking dealers when I went through back in October.

Land can be got from $4,500-$8,000 even $10,000

LOL !!! no not moving back....i will stay on AUS...i loved it there and will be passing back through in Aug next year..will be nice to see some friends - haven't been back for a while...

i loved my time in the U.S..spent 4 years there so its like a second home...

Are you reducing acres for next year due to price..or stay same..??
