Bunning spinner deck

Hi , has anyone fitted a detachable spinner deck to a bunning lowlader spreader , I would like to spread poultry manure at 18m so would be good to know people's experiences.

Do you mean the sludge kit or the canopy that covers most of the beaters?

I have the canopy already which is good for poultry litter , but not up to spreading 18m
The spinner deck fits on the back and has 2 large diameter spreading discs

I wasn’t aware they made one but it appears they do! If it works as well as a normal HBD it’ll work well.

We’ve used one for years to spread poultry manure. Does a good job. We haven’t spread at 18m though

I think you have to have a muck spreader with the sprocket on to drive the spinning discs. Not sure if it is possible to convert a standard spreader.

I think you might be right ,
Sounds like it needs to be "spinner deck ready" from the factory

Is you spreader a Mk 4, with the one piece gearbox?

Yes it is , 2018 model

You mean something like this it was attachment you lifted on the back of the spreader used to be good to spread to about 15 m .

What material were you spreading to 15m ?

I've got an older 1 that I use. Think the newer ones have bigger discs but I'll spread hen muck at 12 meters but that's like double overlap so guess it would go to 24meters. Just get a better cover running at 12 meters. Compost 10 maybe and lime nearer 6 or 8 meters

For the detachable deck you need an output shaft from the centre of rotor gearbox to take drive too the spinner deck so not a simple conversion
