Burying asbestos sheets

I had a neighbour who is having a new roof on a block of stables. They asked if I would dig a hole for them on their land to bury the old asbestos sheets.
I know years ago you could but is that still allowed?

you'd be better off paying for an asbestos skip through your business, having a tidy up yourself and getting ££ compensated by your neighbour for their sheets.

Mother keeps taking a well wrapped bag into the council 'recycling yard' skip from her 'garden shed'.

have you ever seen someone with asbestosis ? a victim described it to me like drowning to death, but over a period of years, it's REALLY not funny or something to not take extremely seriously and stay well away

I want nothing to do with it. When we cleared some we got a proper skip from a licenced company. Cost a lot but saves any potential issues. I advised this neighbour to do the same.

Dangers are for sure overrated but rules are rules. If a job is worth doing it's worth doing right.
