They are unsecured loans, they said from the beginning your assets are not at risk.

No, the government said they would guarantee the money so it wouldnt cost the banks anything, not the people taking the loan. Your house/car etc is at risk if you fail to meet repayments.

Edit- having just read up on bb loans it looks like 35-60% of lenders are going to default on repayments and the banks are wary of the bad press from a bloodbath of failing firms, so nothing has been decided about what action will be taken once repayments are due.

Govt needn't start talking about loan repayments until business are allowed to reopen.

Talking a loan to fund you being shut down is starting to look less tenable the longer the lockdown is enforced.

sometimes you are left with little choice, a huge proportion of the refugees, around the world, are caused by conflict, fleeing is their easy route out, but creates huge problems, if they stayed, and fought for their homes, that would slow the whole problem down, but the 'streets are lined with gold' mentality, just encourages them to flee, to a better place. This sounds bigoted, it's not meant to, it's fact, just as the western world, will have to find a solution to the refugee problem, we cannot keep absorbing the huge numbers that come here. How the hell you solve it, no idea at all.
Local farmers son's partner is a spanish vet, over here, working for the ministry, she has been vey suprised at the work ethics of people in the UK, we are prepared to readily work harder, and longer, than in her home country, perhaps explaining why some parts of the EU are less wealthy than others, and she is very pro brexit.
