Maybe as start someone could produce a letter we as individuals could email red tractor demanding a rowing back of the nonsense rules I have no issue with sensible ones , also why dont we fund a advert for a couple of weeks in the farmers weekly/ farmers guardian etc with the open letter and red tractor email for those that arent members here to copy or a link here for them to download and send on to red tractor, I'm happy to chuck in a few quid , I'm sure tff admin could organise it.

Good Luck with that ! No way are red tractor going to reduce rules ,you will be lucky to keep the status quo , they rely on more and more reg , to fund and verify the whole scheme , Im happy to help , but think it will be p55g in the wind

I'm sure plenty of people have said similar things in the past that were far harder to stop.
Slavery, votes for women, end of communism, gay marriage etc etc.
As someone said the longest journey starts with the first step. The simple fact is if EVERY farmer in the country stops paying for red tractor its finished. We have the power we just need to realise it, and stick together

Whereas in many ways I abhor the old militant trades union practices, it is maybe understandable why solidarity was paramount, and those who broke rank were vilified.

UK farmers will never be a united force because although many will stick together there will always be the clever ones who know the price of everything, but the value of nothing.

It happened with the MMB and it would sure as eggs happen if 90% of us resigned from Red Tractor. The selfish minority will take the bribes of so many pieces of silver and sell down the river their fellow farmers.

The Judas’s of our industry will never be shamed, vilified and sent to Coventry; the will be listened to, and even lauded by many, as they brag about breaking ranks for the gain of a penny.

It’s just oh so easy for any authorities to divide and rule farmers.

A Shameful Harvest , A G Street

I left them 10 years ago , utter nonsense, over and above basic animal health and safety issues . Problem is all those that HAVE to be members , ag profitability is so finely balanced most cant take the risk

With the amount of subsidy money ' most ' (?) Have been getting/ get surely the time to have taken the risk would never have been better? Alot of Members leaving would've had more effect than a thousand complaining words spoken.
Different matter for tenants i agree.

Which as we all know was a farce, so we tell them to row back the crap stupid rules into something sensible or we all leave, remember it's their jobs they will lose, the uk will still need every ounce of food we grow, it's a game of bluff, the trouble is it looks like farmers are all talk

How about every farmer sends their produce without the stickers on,if we all did it at the same time the feed mills would have to accept it or the pigs and chickens would start to starve!
They do not have to do any thing all that would happen is they reject the load and the lorry drivers would not leave the farm.
We had a load that went with out a label and when he got there they looked on some computer and got our RT number

And as I've said before this made up b0l1ocks to try and justify red tractor in some small way. Assured here and have had 3 full inspections one ear tags only and one trading standards in about ten years. So about one inspection ever 2 years.
Similar when we were assured with an extra visit from a Defra vet to view our cattle to see we were being nice to them?! Came out of RT 2.5 years ago and no inspections since, maybe the single benefit of covid?

Stickers not required. Your contract with merchants say assured. They have your number. I've sent plenty of grain this year with just the ACCs number written in the box. They just type it in at their end and computer says yes.

That’s that idea of the table then!,there must be some way of showing our disapproval of the scheme that we are all forced to be a member of

Cancel Nfu memberships. It’s that simple.
Indeed. We did that about 20 years ago when the assurance nonsense started getting silly.
If everybody cancelled their NFU membership it would send a serious message and you don't need to be an NFU member to sell your produce. I really can't understand why anybody is still a member and what they actually think they are getting for the money.
