Could this make the case ever stronger for a legal challenge against RT for anti competitive practises
I would say it's moved on from a last resort into something that has to be done and has to be won.
There's too much at stake now, we really have no choice.

There is no way Red Tractor should be the only business able to inspect. Never healthy to have one judge, jury and executioner.

Keep the pressure up everyone. This is not about being resistant to regulation or an element of regulatory inspection. It's about not allowing red Tractor and an absolutely useless NFU to establish an uncompetitive marketplace in inspections.

It's time to put up or shut up for them, I remember my father talking about the 1930's before the mmb was formed nearlyfinishrd my grandfather, they had to sell up in Gloucester and move to a rented farm back in Dorset, I saw back in 1999 what's was going on and gave up the dairy and got into the equestrian market no assurance sh!t just need to keep the customers happy which is easy if you do a good job and pays far better

Whereas in many ways I abhor the old militant trades union practices, it is maybe understandable why solidarity was paramount, and those who broke rank were vilified.

UK farmers will never be a united force because although many will stick together there will always be the clever ones who know the price of everything, but the value of nothing.

It happened with the MMB and it would sure as eggs happen if 90% of us resigned from Red Tractor. The selfish minority will take the bribes of so many pieces of silver and sell down the river their fellow farmers.

The Judas’s of our industry will never be shamed, vilified and sent to Coventry; the will be listened to, and even lauded by many, as they brag about breaking ranks for the gain of a penny.

It’s just oh so easy for any authorities to divide and rule farmers.

The ones you speak of are many of those sitting on the Red Tractor board!

Possibly so, I can well believe it.

I know that most of us on here could probably pick out at least two or three farmers in our locality whom we know for sure would always put their own greed before the common good. You don’t have to look too far do you?

If we can all think of a few of these sort of people, then there will inevitably be thousands of them countrywide, all grunting and rooting about for any truffle of financial opportunity. And all only too eager to trample the rest of us underfoot in their headlong dash to get their greedy snouts and both front feet firmly planted in the new trough that is briefly being filled to overflowing by their new puppet masters.

It is the greed and self interest of these wretched people that will always prevent our strength through unity.
