I'm wondering whether to use the 2nd round of grants on the Countryside Productivity Small Grant Scheme, but they seem to have really uderestimated the price of them.
The best quote I've got for a full system is around £8.5k whereas on in the handbook, they'll pay 40% on £4524 if you can claim on SG40, R2-SG76 and R2-SG77

...or am I missing something and can get a full kit for £4500!

I can’t see how you can do it. Best to use the Severn Trent grant if possible (and you have it in your area).

Give us a clue where to look then.....
FM-750 with EZ Steer from an NH dealer, not a Trimble dealer. I dont know if they still include a years 'free' RTX Rangepoint subscription, but I'd be angling for as much discount as possible, and then adding in as many years RTX subscription to take it up to the maximum price ;)

Trouble is, all the dealers are now going through as coms rather than doing it themselves.

Well that sucks. We bought our first GPS unit with EZ Steer from the local NH dealer because they were charging significantly less for a new Trimble unit than I could buy a used one (same models) from the official northern Trimble dealers.

We've done the same with a further 4 units over the years, no complaints, big savings every time.

It's (unrealisticly low) standard costs for the scheme so no value in bumping up the invoice. I'm pretty sure that 1 year rp still included, trimble support will give one as long as that unit has never had a freebee, and that Michael (Lloyd's Kelso @db9go, he had a used 750 lite a few months ago) can still sort out new & used 750s

The whole Rules in these Grants for the GPS guidance are just a waste of time.
They need to get in the real world.
Annoyingly ive in the past already bought the GPS Fert Spreader (No Grants then)
Added a Trimble Screen & Receiver at full cost to an Autoguide Ready Tractor again (No Grants worth claiming for)
pity you couldnt back date stuff eh,
Currently would have another system but again its for an Autoguide Ready option not fitting aftermarket electric steering wheel/motors

what sucks more is the increasing price of the genuine Trimble Stuff its dearer now for same system i bought 15months ago buy over £1,000

Not sure if they are available here but these are complete kits for most tractors $3,995.

I'll drop them a line... :) Theyare using WAAS checking but their kit may well be capable of using EGNOS?

If you use the normal US to UK exchange rates, it always works out at parity, so £4k is cheap...very cheap.

I like the one wheel fits all concept they have. The software is minimalist, but no bad thing.
