Buying at auction

Is it worth buying kit at auction at the moment with the EU and export problems? Prices should be low with difficult exports.... shouldn't they?!
What grainboy said.
the internet and online auctions have killed any bargains.
Export isn't difficult. The big auction yards have been geared up for it for months.

Now I'll retire with some popcorn while all the experts come on and tell you all about how the online auctions are rigged

lol,
Export not difficult ?
All machinery to be washed on a certified wash pad, Defra then charges £185 for certification, then has to be shipped in 2 weeks,
then Poland for example, customer has to pay Vat up front, rather than exception no, and then also has 20 % import duty,
So I’m either miss informed, or incorrect,
I can’t really see any European country accepting cleaned down grain bins,
By all accounts Plant and equipment is except from cleansing.

By all accounts Cheffins have or are building a Defra approved wash pad,
But I can’t see buyers of what was cheaper machinery for export, paying more for their goods,
All this facts were either unknown or ignored when we voted !!

From what I read, when importing the machine from UK to PL, I have to pay VAT and 1.5% duty, I do not know if it applies to all machines and tanks

I thought the same as you but having watched a couple of auctions last week prices have definitely not come back, one was potato kit and I thought with the potato price this year there might be some bargains! Crazy prices being paid with a good few bits at more than new price!

What about if I am importing a machine from Poland - looking at bringing a machine back shortly - any idea what rules apply?

Used equipment prices at Auctions at all time high and in short supply with worst value for money being the older machines in good condition - some of the 2016/17 machines offer good value for money to new cost but it is hard to generalise over different product ranges -

Unfortunately, I was buying machines before the customs came in. Now I have no idea how it looks in detail. Each group of machines has its own customs number and you have to see what the rate is

2nd hand kit is strong due to new price and the online bidding is great but thought with all the new rules and regs it may have put some of the EU competition off until things level out.

Looks like Importing a Forklift from EU has a 4% Tarif Cost - so have all the TH Manufactures like Manitou & Merlo put their prices up 4%?
