I've had a look on a phew site about import duty and it looks like it would be around the £800 mark with vat etc. Then add the licences and other items platform etc.
I'm still waiting for Vantage to get back to me to see what they have to offer.

Are these quotes from Trimble dealers or New Holland dealers?
The first GPS system I bought I had quotes from both. The official Trimble dealer tried to sell me a 2nd hand system for considerably more than the NH dealers new price, and as a result I haven’t bothered them over the 10 years and 4 further systems since.
Edit: 5 systems since, and after changing tractors we have an FM-750 with EZ-Steer and NH T6/T7 platform kit (brackets) available for £2500, ready to send.

Might put up a ‘red flag’, when a suitcase full of electronics goes through the bomb detectors. You could become intimate friends with a gloved hand from ‘Homeland Security’ [emoji117][emoji108][emoji51]

I travel all over with electronics stuff and the worst thing they have done is open the bag for a look. I wouldn’t even give it a second thought

and mine that's why I asked on here, I had a quote from Vantage came in at £6500 fitted, with 12 months Rangepoint subscription. Will have to see what grants are available.

Why not ask them if the product is locked to some area? Would you not believe them if they told it isn't? Sounds odd if there was a big price difference and you would ignore the lower cost option just for this "uncertainty".

:ROFLMAO: Friend of mine turned very white as his hand luggage was stopped going though x-ray and he suddenly remembered where he left his Leatherman... They did let him mail it to any address in the US rather than seize it... At least it was only a small knife, the statistics for the number of guns US Homeland Security detect in hand luggage each you is mind blowing... its something like 12 a day! What is more shocking is about 10 of the 12 are also loaded!! How many slip through??

I remember taking some farmer to a sprayer factory in holland in winter... He grabbed his winter coat as we left...Got to security and he became very figgity.... He was trying to covertly put about 5 live shotgun cartridges in the bin.... I nearly passed out and found the nearest armed guard. He laughed and said. you arent the first ''farmer i assume'' and wont be the last.!

Trimble displays come with area unlocks but mostly for specific areas of the world. They come standard with WAAS (for North America), EGNOS (Europe/North Africa) and MSAS(Australia). You will want to make sure your adjust your satellites to your area. I think the GFX's do this automatically now. You can also contact them directly instead of eBay: GFX-750

We have bought Trimble foot switches twice from the states £28 / each instead of £150 odd here. Ask them to write 'gifts' on the packaging....less chance of import tax and a trip to the central Post office to pick it up. I think you'd be safe buying looms, aerials, domes etc, just maybe not screens

For basic SBAS/EGNOS you only need the GFX750 display, CAN Autopilot license, and a platform kit (with topdoc connection) for your AGR vehicle. The license is around $2900 USD and the platform kit is $1,000 USD. Trimble is running a special globally when you purchase a new display you can try the rangepoint subscription free for one year ($450/yr after that). You can sign up online directly or work with any Trimble reseller. There are no other costs to get this system up and going. You can upgrade to centerpoint rtx (standard) which gives you 2.5 cm level accuracy is $1095 USD per year but requires an intermediate accuracy license $2,750. Agtogo.com fka agrinetix helps with support if needed. The egnos and Waas satellites are unlocked in every European and north american receiver. Should not have an issue.

ok just wanted to make sure cause i need this license i found out today. but in a promo video i saw it had an expiry date. paying $3k a year plus rtx would be a no go for me in that case.
