Updated December 22, 2021: As a reminder, the legacy services for BlackBerry 7.1 OS and earlier, BlackBerry 10 software, BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.1 and earlier versions, will no longer be available after January 4, 2022. I'm still running an old laptop on Windows xp!, can't even remember how long ago support ran out for that!
Only used for one or two programs that won't run on newer versions without needing to spend on very expensive upgrades, but it has been fine, altho I don't use it for the internet which I think would soon cause its demise!
Best thing is the bloody hard drive doesn't constantly fill up with updates anymore!!

Using an old and now-unsupported OS is ok provided the machine is never connected to the web. Otherwise it is a ripe target for malware and hackers. This includes email and even usb drives. It has to remain isolated.
