It was appearing in resistant vars many years ago (late 90s I think) but I haven't heard of it since. Back then it was only called Race 2 because no-one could explain how it appeared in resistant vars.

has anyone had any issues with barley yellow mosaic virus strain 2?
Yes there is a fair bit around North Devon , There are very few varieties resistant we have got a few on trial here this year including a French and Spanish varietie some looking good . Limagrain should be able to help

This was last year's glasier that it hammered cassia will stick it better although it looks sick early spring
