slightly off on a tangent but, my winter project, electric/silent, amazing driving around the farm and hearing the birds singing, being able to hold a conversation and creep up on people!

I did just have this pop in Google looks like they are available in the UK.

Have been for a while I think. I saw one last year at the Game Fair.

Pondered one for 10mins, then worked out the costings versus a 28hp Compact on Diesel. I bought Diesel...

Upgrade to noise cancelling headphones, don’t get fooled by noise isolating headphones it’s not the same, true noise cancelling headphone use power, most can be recharged. Wired and wireless just plug them into your phone or connect via Bluetooth. Sony do a wide range, then it’s down to preference over ear, or ear plug.
While not the cheapest, how much do you value your hearing?

Once you upgrade you will never go back to ear plugs.
I use them when combining I don’t listen to music when combining, but it’s cuts the engine noise right down and lets you hear the machine without, ending the day with your ears ringing.
( yes I have a old 1540 combine )
Bought a pair last year to wear in my track Marshall can't hear a sound built in radio and Bluetooth to phone for calls battery when charged last for days

normally sony ones of my preference, I normally go in ear, but over ear can be a better fit, they can vary a lot in price, but full over ear ones or in ear.

they can vary in price
the pair I use at the moment, but others come and go all the time, https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-WF-10...31&s=electronics&sprefix=noise,aps,82&sr=1-31

I value my hearing, the fact I can listen at normal volumes rather than just over powering the tractor with its radio, and you can test this by just turning on and off noise cancelling.
over ear can be more comfy, do a better job, but they tend to be far bigger than pocket size so not as convenient as just pulling the little charge box out of your pocket like the ones I use at the moment. (last link)

I'm well used to ear plugs which are "custom fit" for my lugholes. I buy the DIY packs of silicone to mould your own, for on the bike, and find them good on a noisy tractor, but.... noise cancelling would be a nicer option on machinery.

Ta for the links, I'll take a gander...

Ahhh. Fair do's...

I look forward to seeing the latest JD or Fendt with a bloody big gas bag on the roof!! ;)

I know, I know, it will be compressed a bit in reality...
Here you go for all you farmers with a bit of cow poo to spare.

Just dont complain the tractor does not have enough horse power.
