I milk in 2 parlours. In one they stand at 45 degrees and I switch hands depending on side and in the other parlour they stand a 90 degrees and I hold the unit with my left and attach the cluster with the right both sides. One of those things you just subconsciously do

I always held the cluster with my left hand then with my right hand I would cup FL, BL, BR, FR in that order.

My really bad habit was highlighted when I started wearing gloves (I used to not wear gloves and I know that is bad). I would guide the teat into the cup with my finger as I cupped up. If you do that with gloves, you get a screaming sound as your glove gets pinched between the teat and the cup! I now don't, I just get my aim right! - and still wear gloves.

Does anyone think of their sleeves brushing against teats as they cup up?

Unit in right hand, cups on with the left.

Many moons ago dad got knocked down by a car as he crossed the cow's, smashed his right arm, while he was in hospital, I was racing about on the scraper and caught a stantion and bust my left wrist. He was wild as hell for weeks on end, not because both of us were armless but because I could still do the milking and he could not. Didn't stop him moithering about in the pit tho
