CAD and drawing software

Trying this. If it ever finishes downloading!!

It's a fairly large file to download!

I've been using it for odd drawings to get used to it, having not used any cad programs properly since I was in school its taking some time to learn it, defiantly not as easy as I hoped but much better than others I've tried.

Sketchup is a great tool for what you pay for it. Solidworks seems great for full simulation of mechanical designs. Used to use Autodesk Mechanical Desktop which seems to have been replaced with Autodesk Inventor, but Fusion 360 might be the better choice.

if you are looking to draw steelwork for buildings go with software from Tekla.
