Can anyone tell me the ball park figure for cattle cake? 16 / 18% nuts to balance hay / silage I'm searching for a price +- 10 to 15% a real ball park figure. Now if I had some cattle of my own.....
16% probaby £350/t ish , 18% closer to £380ish but it would depend on load size and how often you bought. Bigger drops equals cheaper price give or take £20/t

To be fair, I've the spec and it's not the worse we've ever fed. Barley, pke, wheat feed, distillers and rape meal. Minerals and mag.
With the exception of pke we’ve got the rest in our cake…just with a few other things higher up. But there’s obviously a big difference in price

I don’t buy any cake, only straights and mix myself.
Rape cake is 318£/ton in full 36 ton loads right now. Got a price yesterday. After august about 295 right now.

So over 300 for a 16% cake sounds like a lot?
