Calf Prices

That's a proper group of calves! You can tell the difference between people who treat calves as a by-product and those that dont - you fall into the latter group for sure!

If you were closer, I had more land, shed space and time I'd have them in a heartbeat, there must be others who would have them too.

Tb or not, any auctioneer worth his/hers salt would find a buyer for them in a hart beat.

Lovely bunch of calves!
Reared on high scc cow, when we were under was offered £25, when clear they made £690, no bugger wants the smaller cattle, then only want very forward stuff.

Got a fair few char, sim, bbx tb restricted calves, rang Mccartney's at ludlow (orange market) they said unsaleable, not wanted, no value, is this right or are there customers out there for them, would appreciate any helpful suggestions.
A farm near here sold to an Orange Market. They then went clear next tb test. They were then told if any of the animals they sold (100+) went down with tb, then they would be treated as a breakdown so beware.

What’s an orange market?
Red is down with Tb, green is clear just can’t work out what orange is, on a traffic light basis it would sit somewhere in between but I can’t work out how
Orange days are for Store Cattle from farms shut down with tb , buyers all need to have approved feeding units (AFU's). Red is for fat cattle(All buyers are butchers/slaughterhouses)

There are buyers buying cheap calves(restricted or not) for veal units in europe but i dont know who, markets selling large numbers weekly would though.
