Calf rearing contract

Anybody on here rearing calf’s on a contract ?
Pros and cons ?
Who provides what etc?
And who to stay away from ?
Looked a few years ago at blade never could make my mind up.

We kinda do - it's probably not what you're exactly asking but here goes

We have a contract to take calves on 1st May (southern hemisphere, say November 1 for you) and keep them 12 months til May next year

Owner provides:
Minerals
Animal health products as required
Extra labour if required
Breeding bulls

We provide:
Grass
Water
Infrastructure
Access (with 24hrs notice)
Duty of care
Management/labour

Basically it revolves around trust, communication, ie it's a relationship that we take 100% responsibility for.

I think both parties have insurance on the stock
