First feed just done all calves took in and fed no probs. 2 hour wait now till there aloud more :)

Coomoo, you done a tidy job there. Do you have any drainage around the feed station? I wish i’d put some grids around our feeders linking to the drains, it’s amazing how wet the straw gets in that area. We don’t bed that bit and hand scrape it clean once a day.
What feed rate do you have the calves set at?

Dairygrazing, i dont miss lifting buckets of milk around. Since we moved in i have not had to jab a single calf for pneumonia, not even a cough. So important to have a calf building that breathes. Growth rates are good, hopefully this translates into heifers calving down with higher yields.
